In this assignment I'm supposed to write anything about the Bible so I chose to write about facts of the Bible.
There are more than 168,000 Bibles given or bought per day in the United States. I find it interesting that almost everyone in the United States has access to a Bible but does not live by it. It took 1600 years to write the Bible and it was written by 40 men. The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalms 119. Psalms is also the longest book in the Bible, the longest verse in the Bible is Esther 8:9; it has 90 words. I'm glad it was not a memory verse last year because there is no way I could remember 90 words. There are a lot of books about religion but the Bible is the only one that is the actual words of God. The Bible is translated in over 1000 languages. That amazes me because I didn't even know there was 1000 languages. The oldest person in the Bible was Methuselah, who died when he was 969 years old. I wonder if he could remember his childhood being that old? For my last random fact about the Bible I must tell you it would take 70 hours to read because there are 773,692 words in the Bible.
Good post Drew!
